Fractional Co2

What is Co2 Laser?

  • Treatment aims to improve the appearance of the skin by removing the top layer and stimulating the formation of new skin cells.
  • CO2 — carbon dioxide — laser resurfacing uses targeted beams of light to remove the superficial layer of your skin.
  • CO2 lasers are part of a laser resurfacing process. The laser emits energy of a wavelength of 10,600 nanometers. Water within the skin cells absorbs this type of wavelength, resulting in the ablation of the superficial layer of the skin.
  • This treatment produces a type of heat injury. This stimulates the skin underneath, resulting in the formation of collagen.
  • Collagen is a protein in the body that provides a tightly organized fiber network and contributes to the skin’s elasticity.
  • When the skin starts healing after laser treatment, new skin start to form that may be smoother, tighter, or more elastic.

This type of laser treatment can:

  • Remove skin scar
  • Addresses sign of ageing i.e deep scar, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, etc.
  • Treat areas of skin discoloration like sunspots and age spots

What are the benefits?

  • Not only can it reduce the appearance of wrinkles right away, it also encourages collagen production, which can improve the health of your skin over time.
  • CO2 laser resurfacing can treat numerous cosmetic and medical skin issues, from visible signs of aging and sun damage to scars and skin cancer.
  • CO2 laser resurfacing can significantly reduce the appearance of all of the above.
  • Loose skin above the upper and lower eyelids can cause what’s commonly known as “baggy” or “hooded eyes.”

What’s the Recovery?
It typically takes 1-2 weeks to recover from CO2 laser resurfacing. Following your dermatologist or surgeon’s aftercare instructions will help with healing and lower your risk of complications.

Results
Fractional CO2 Laser is a great treatment for people with acne scars, fine lines, pigmentation, and also other skin conditions. The procedure replaces the old, damaged cells with new, healthy skin. It is however suggested that the clients should undergo a procedure with dermatologists only as it requires professional expertise.
